2009 – 2012  Flinders University Medical School – PROJECT EDUCATION OFFICER

Team co-ordination of the continuous revision and publication of new editions (paper based and electronic) of a suite of Commonwealth endorsed Primary Health Care manuals for remote and rural practice. Admin for the Central Australian Rural Practitioner’s Association, including marketing and communications, also event management for the annual conference.

Owner operator of company. Certified Organic loose leaf herbal teas and infusions. Manufacturing, wholesale and retail distribution. Retail and online sales management.

2013 – present Down Under Berlin Australian Film Festival – COMMUNICATIONS

Writing web content, newsletter content, film reviews. Engaging with entrants for submissions, rep on site in Australia for networking, and acquisition support.

2013 – present Informed Explorer – CONTRIBUTING WRITER

Weekly submissions. Travel articles with images.

2012 – present Cre8 Foundation – SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Content and editing for the CRE8 Foundation website. Social media, blog posts and marketing input for promoting collaborative arts projects with children around the world to inspire and stimulate creativity on a global scale, at the community level.

August 2012 Campus Party Europe, Berlin – VOLUNTEER

Volunteered for Universities team, and Media/Communications team.  Tasks included welcoming and taking care of students from universities all over Europe. Media team required writing interview questions, and requesting, co-ordinating and conducting interviews to camera with speakers from the event, including the world’s first human cyborg, the Vice President of the EU, and the executive director of Linux International.

2011 – 2012  Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Radio – FILM REVIEWER

Thursday afternoon Drive program – weekly review of films in a ten minute live to air spot, plus a written review for the program’s blog.

 2010 – 2012  Central Australian Human Research Ethics Committee (CAHREC) – COMMITTEE LAYPERSON

Review for approval of all research being undertaken in the region, discussing and considering the ethical implications and the impact of the research on the participants and the community.


2013  NT Literary Awards – SHORTLISTED AUTHOR

‘Berlin Daze’. Charles Darwin University Travel Short story Award. Shortlisted. Awarded publication in 2013 NT Literary Awards short story collection.

2012  National Medicines Symposium Australia awards – EDITORIAL AWARD

Health Professional Education. Awards for quality use of medicines.

‘Medicines Book for Aboriginal Health Workers’. Awarded Committee trophy.

2011  NT Literary Awards – SHORTLISTED AUTHOR

‘The Fish and the Hiccup’. Dymocks Arafura Short story Award. Shortlisted. Awarded publication in 2011 NT Literary Awards short story collection.


‘Discovering the beginnings of life in Shark Bay’. Geological anomalies writing contest. Awarded 10 piece freelance contract plus cash prize.
